What art offers is space - a breathing room for the spirit.

The INT Aditya Birla Centre for Performing Arts and Research is an exquisitely designed space, nestled in the verdant greens of the Hanging Gardens in South Mumbai. A space dedicated to encourage and empower the students and teachers in all the streams of performing arts.

The Indian National Theatre or INT founded in 1944, is one of the foremost pioneer theatre organizations in India, with a wide and varied repertoire of dance, music, drama, ballet, dance drama, pantomime; play-reading, poetry-recital,folk-dance festival, competitions and even schools for music and dancing.

Over the past 6 decades, INT has won many awards and accolades for nurturing theatrical art and adapting it to suit modern concepts and trends, at the same time setting new benchmarks of expression in modern techniques.

INT has also established a Research Centre for the Performing Folk Arts, to revive the dying traditional form which has been a legacy of our country.

Shri Aditya Vikram Birla, founder of India's leading Conglomerate the Aditya Birla Group, was passionately involved in encouraging fine arts and so set up the Sangit Kala Kendra to serve as a platform for both the established and upcoming artists to regale the people with their performances.

The INT Aditya Birla Centre for Performing Arts and Research houses six well equipped class rooms, a spacious Hall with projection facilities, an Art Gallery and an open terrace, with a provision for parking.....vehicles in the basement.

The Centre will impart thorough and systematic training to students by well-known Guru's in dramatics, classical vocal, instrumental music, dance and theatre.

It will host a series of lectures, seminars and interactive sessions with prominent personalities on literature and philosophy, short-terms courses like doll-making,puppetry, calligraphy, origami, clay modeling, fashion designing etc.

Very soon the Centre will also have a world-class theatre, a technical academy with workshops, a library, and a museum, in the adjacent premises.
